Will I be hungry?

No! You may actually be surprised to discover that you feel quite satisfied. This frequently happens once people began eating clean, whole foods. You are not hungry because your body is finally getting the nourishment it needs.

If you are hungry and want more food, eat!  You have the option to supplement your meals with additional protein if you desire. Or you can choose to add a soup and/or salad to any meal. Plus, you can have snacks. You will find a list of yummy snacks on page 26 of your Getting Started guide. No deprivation here!

Can men do this diet too?

Yes! The Clean Eating, Body Detox, and Elimination Diet is a also a great choice for men.

Are there any side effects?

Potentially! It is a detox diet and detox symptoms can be unpleasant. The program offers a number of support options to reduce unwanted symptoms, but since each person is an individual experiences can vary.  If you have concerns, start the program on a weekend.


What are the most common symptoms or side effects?

There is no hard and fast answer to this question because there are so many variables that can be involved. Additionally, people respond differently. Very generally speaking you may feel more fatigued than usual. This is sometimes accompanied by foggy thinking and tends to diminish after the first 2- 3 days.


What if there is something on the menu that I am allergic too?

Since this is an Elimination Diet this is unlikely to happen as high allergen foods like eggs, dairy, and nuts are not allowed on Phase 1 or Phase 2 of the diet. During Phase 3 you can start slowly reintroducing these high foods back into your diet and note any reactions in your Food Diary. However, DO NOT eat any foods you have a known allergy to AT ANY TIME on this diet. These foods may be substituted for any items from the DO EAT FOODS LIST located in your Getting Started Guide.

What if I don’t want to eat one the meals on the menu?

No problem! Just reference your Recipe Exchange Guide and choose something else.

Does this diet count calories?

No! There is no counting calories, fat grams, or carbohydrates, etc. You are eating healthy food and enjoying your meals without any tracking or worries of any kind. Enjoy!

I am not a vegan or vegetarian. Can I still do this diet?

Yes! The program is very flexible.Meat eaters can choose from a list of clean meats. Vegans and Vegetarians can choose plant proteins.
